Lesson Format
Lessons are one-to-one and tailored to each student’s level and musical interests. Most students take weekly lessons, but flexible scheduling is possible depending on availability. Lessons are suitable for beginners and intermediate players on acoustic or electric guitar.
Many students start lessons simply to enjoy playing music — no previous experience required.
Lesson Length
- 60-minute lesson — most popular option
- 45-minute lesson — suitable for younger students or beginners
Regular weekly lessons tend to produce the best progress.
Lessons are ideal for students who can practise between sessions and want to build their skills gradually over time.
Most people attend weekly lessons and enjoy seeing steady progress from one week to the next.
A consistent approach makes learning guitar far more rewarding and enjoyable.
Lesson Prices
- 60 minutes — £35
- 45 minutes — £20
Block bookings — most convenient option:
- Block of 4 lessons — £120
- Block of 12 lessons — £310
- 45 minutes lessons can only be booked individually
Surcharge for travel:
- If lesson takes place at the student’s home: + £10 per lesson
- If lesson takes place at Arch Studios or Folkie’s: + £15 per lesson
Payment details can be arranged when booking.
Location
Lessons are based in Kilburn and are easily accessible from Hammersmith, Chiswick, and other parts of West London via public transport.
First Lesson — What to Expect
The first lesson focuses on understanding your goals, experience level, and musical tastes.
Beginners usually start with basic chords and rhythm, while more experienced players work on technique, songs, or specific skills they want to improve.
